This trip takes-you through an interesting district of the city, over a portion of the 1,400 acre City Park, up the beautiful Mission Valley to the Old Mission. This is the oldest Mission in California, established in 1769 by Father Junipero Serra, and the first of a chain of Franciscan Missions extending from San Diego to Sonoma. It is largely in ruins and fast crumbling away, but the original adobe walls and some portions of the interior can yet be seen. The olive orchard at this Mission was started from cuttings brought from Spain, and is the oldest in California. All the olive trees in the State are children of this grove. There is also at this Mission an Indian school of about eighty pupils. On the return you pass through Old Town, by the Palms, 133 years old; the Old Fort, the house where Ramona was married; the old Mission bell, the old church and cemetery. The trip is usually taken in tally-hos made up of congenial parties from Tent City. BATHING. Bath house No. 2 Next to Casino Suits for ocean and bay bathing, 25c. The present concessioners, consisting of the different stands, grocery stores, soda water places, restaurant, etc., are to furnish goods and supplies to all campers at exactly San Diego rates, and we have all of their personal guarantees that such will be the case. We will greatly appreciate it if you will report any overcharge on the part of any one of them to Mr. Wordie, Auditor of the Tent City office, who will at once see that the same is rectified, should such overcharge occur. "CASH" DIVES. The sensational dive of "Cash" is attracting thousands to the enclosure on the plaza to witness the performance. The horse will make his wonderful leap through the air into a tank 12 feet deep from now on. The price of admission is 10 cents, and as this is the only opportunity one has to view such an exhibition of animal training, no one should miss it. "Cash" has just come from Australia, and after playing all the large cities there is now making a tour of the Pacific Coast. The pony has been exhibited at Coney Island, and before arriving here was performing at the Chutes in Los Angeles. "Cash" is a Canadian polo pony, very pretty and jet black; refuses to be ridden more than a block and will not hold harness. BAGGAGE NOTICE Orders for baggage for the 8:35 a. m. train must be left at the Tent City office the evening before, and baggage must be ready at 6 o'clock a. m., at which time the wagon will call for it.
