Tbe Labor Council and Politics.

Last night the Labor Council of this city held a meeting, H. C. ICinno presiding, and adopted the following : ■Whereas, The Republican and Democratic parties are about to hold Municipal and Legislative Conventions ; and whereas, a conference has been called to decide in regard to candidates, at which conference the labor organizations have no representation ; and whereas, we represent the labor organizations of this city, therefore be it Resolved, That the Committee of Nine, which was appointed at the' last meeting of this Council, shall call on the leaders of the various parties and demand a representation in the Board of Supervisors and in the Legislature. And be it also lietolved. That the committee shall report to this Council in regard to how they succeed.
