Teemer to Visit San Francisco.

John Teemer, the champion oarsman of America, has written to a friend in this city, stating that he intends visiting the Pacific Coast this Fal! and wculd like to get on a match with California* champion, Henry Peterson, for $2,000 and the gate money, if it can be arranged. Peterson is at present in splendid health, and has expressed hie willingness to row Teemer on these terms. While in the East, a year ago, he suffered from climatic ailments, but has now recovered his old-time form, and feels sure of victory if the race comes off. lie has recently received a new patent roller slide from the East, which materially increases hi? speed.
