DEATHS OF THE DAY Willard B. Farwell

[ ALAMEDA, Feb. 10.—Wiilard Brigham Farwell, pioneer, politician, mining man and an early day Journalist of this coast, passed away this morning at his home after a protracted il.ness. He was ti native of Marlborough, Mass., aged 75 years. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Fannie M. Farwell, and two children survive him, Mrs. Edith Lane and William B. Farwell, Jr., Mr. Farwell p.ayed a prominent part in the early affairs of the state. Mrs. Francisca A. de Rlmpau SANTA ANA, Feb. 10.—Mts\ Francisca A. de Rimpau, years, a native Californian and for tifty-five years a resident of Anaheim, is dead. Nine children, the> survivors of a family of sixteen, attended the funeral. Hermojens Olivares MOKELtJMNE HILL, Feb. 10-Her-mojens Olivares, a pioneer of this town and a native of Chile, is dead, aged 7.1 years. Deceased had a classical education. He came to California in 1849. Hubbard T. Smith GENOA, Feb. 10.—Hubbard T. Smith, United States vice consul general at airo, who has been in a hospital here for some time- past suffering from cancer of the kidney,s, died this morning.
