PUBLIC ADVERTISING Notice of Award of Contr««t Pursuant to Statutes and to the n**olutlon of Award of the City Council of the City of Lou Angeles adopted July 21, 1905, directing this notice, notice Is hereby given that said City Council, In open session, on the 17th day of July, 1906, opened, examined and publicly de-. clared all sealed proposals or bids offered for the following work, to wit: Ist. That THIRTIETH STREET, In said city, from the westerly line of San Pedro street to a point 850 feet easterly of the easterly line of Trinity street, including all Intersections of streets (excepting such portions of said street and intersections as are requlrod by law to be kept In order or repair by any person or company having rftllro«d tracks thereon, and also excepting such portions as have already been graded and graveled and accepted), be graded and graveled to the official grade in accordance with the plans and profile on file In the office of the City Engineer, and specifications for the construction of graveled streets In the City of Los Angeles on file In tho office of the City Clerk of said city, said specifications being No. 1« (Nnw Series), and adopted by Ordinance No. 9671 (New Series). 2d. • That a cement curb be constructed along each line of the roadway of said Thirtieth street, from tho westerly curb line of San Pedro street to a point 860 feet easterly of the easterly line of Trinity street (excepting along such portions of the line of said roadway upon which a cement or granite curb has already been constructed to the official line and grade), In accordance with specifications for constructing cement curbs on file In the office of the City Clerk, said specifications being No. 1 (New Series), and adopted by Ordinance No. 8572 (New Series). Bd. That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width be constructed along each side of said Thirtieth street, from the westerly curb line of San Pedro street to a point 850 feet easterly of the easterly line of Trinity street (excepting such portions of said street between said points along which a cement or atphalt sidewalk five (.5) feet in width has been constructed to the official line and grade), said sidewalk to be constructed in accordance with specifications for constructing cement sidewalks on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city, said specifications being No. 2 (Now Series), and adopted by Ordinance No. 8672 (New Series). And thereafter, to wit: on the 21st day of July, 1905, said City Council awarded the contract for said work to the lowest regular responsible bidder, to wit: To Schilling & Thomas, at the prices named for said work in their proposal, on file, to wit: $1.48 per lineal foot for grading and graveling. 31 cts. per lineal foot for cement curb. 12 ctsi per square foot for sidewalk. And that said award has been approved by the Mayor. An Ordinance declaring the Intention of the Mayor and Council of the City of Los Angeles to establish the grade of Twenty-seventh street, from Arlington street to the west line of the West Adams and Western Avenue Tracts, as per map recorded in Book 6 of Maps, at pages 178 and 179, Records of Los Angeles County. The Mayor and Council of the City of Los Angeles do ordain as follows: Section 1. That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Los Angeles to establish the grade of TWENTY-SEVENTH STREET, from Arlington street to the west line of the West Adams and Western Avenue Tract, as per map recorded in Book 6 of Maps, at pages 178 and 179, Records of Los Ang«les County, In accordance with the following elevations: At the Intersection with Arlington street the grade shall be 154.03 at the northeast corner and 151.32 at the southeast corner, as now established on Arlington street. At the intersection with Clmarron street the grade shall be 156.00 at the northwest and northeast corners and 156.00 at the southwest and southeast corners. At the intersection of said west line of the West Adams and Western Avenue Tract with the south line of Twentyseventh street the grade shall be 161.00 as now established. At the Intersection of the produced west line of said West Adams and Western Avenue tract with the north line of Twenty-seventh street the grade shall be 161.50 as now established. And at all points between said designated points the grade shall be established so as to conform to a straight line drawn between said designated points. Elevations refer to the top of the curb, are In feet and are above a plane which is 255 feet below City datum plane. Sec. 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published for ten days in the Los Angeles Herald, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in force. An Ordinance declaring the intention of the Mayor and Council of the City of Los Angeles to establish the grade of Bishop street, from Effle street to the north line of the Palo Verde Tract, as per map recorded in Book 6 of Maps, at page 181. Records of Los Angeles County. The Mayor and Council of the City of Los Angeles do ordain as follows: Section 1. That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Los Angeles to establish th^gradeof,^^ from Effie street to the north line of the Palo Verde Tract, as per map recorded in Book 6 of Maps, at page 181, Records of Los Angeles County, in accordance with the following elevations: At the Intersection. with Effle street the grade shall be 472.00 at the northwest corner and 473.00 at the northeast corner. At the intersection with said north line of the Palo Verde Tract the grade shall be 533.00 on both sides. And at all points between said designated points the grade shall be established so as to conform to a straight line drawn between said designated points.
