A PRETTY home wedding will take place this evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Corbln, 1855 West Twenty-first street, when their daughter, Miss Clara M. Condee, will become the bride of Walter A. Corbln. Both young people are well known in the younger social set. as they both attended the local high school and both have a wide circle of friends. The service will be road at 8:30 o'clock by Rev. A. G. Fessenden, until recently pastor of the Grandvlew Presbyterian church, and will be witnessed by a company of about thirty Immediate relatives. A decorative scheme of pink and white blossoms combined with plumosus Is to be used In all the rooms. The young people will go away for a short trip and on their return will be at home at 1617 West Twenty-first street. Mr. Corbin is with the Western Wholesale Drug company. For Mrs. Turner Mr. and Mrs. Harry Coburn Turner are sailing for Honolulu next week for a. visit of several months with Mrs. Turner's sister, and among the Informal farewell courtesies that are being extended to them is the Informal tea Miss Katherine Ridge way of 2265 West Twenty-third street is giving for Mrs. Turner Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Workman to Entertain Among the pretty affairs of the coming week will be the afternoon that Mrs. Boyle Workman is giving Wednesday for her sister, Mrs. Harry Watson, who has come from Illinois to visit friends, and who will be Mrs. Workman's house guest during February. Miss Gertrude Workman, who returned about Christmas from an absence of several months in the north, will also be an especial guest. Luncheon and Cards Mrs. Itichard V. Day of 12 St. James park and her daughter. Miss Day. entertained with a handsomely appointed buffet luncheon yesterday in compliment to Mrß. Day's two married daughters. Mrs. J. R, Powers and Mrs. R. Miles and Mrs. Marlon R. Gray are entertaining with a large card party tomorrow afternoon at their residence, 701 Beacon street. About eighty Invitations have been Issued for the affair. Frcm Lansing, Michigan Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Shettler of 765 South Hoover street have as house guests Mayor Hugh Lyon of Lansing, Mich. Mayor and Mrs. Lyon will remain several weeks, and Mrs. Shettler is planning more than one delightful affair in their honor. Afternoon Reception Mrs. C. B. Woodhead, who has recently returned from an extended absence abroad and who during many years' residence In Los Angeles has established a reputation as a gracious and charming hostess, has issued invitations for a large reception February 1 at her residence, 3025 Vermont avenue.

Entertaining Eastern Guests Mrs. J. A. Brown is entertaining her sister, Mrs. Charles Corbett, and daughter of Brookville, Pa., at her residence, 2317 West Ninth street. Mr. Corbett will Join his wife and daughter a little later and they will probably prolong their stay into the summer. Luncheon Guests Mrs. William Harrison Fuller has issued invitations for a luncheon that she is giving Wednesday of next week at her home, 937 West Thirtieth strteet. To"play~Whist Mrs. John F. Kanst of 432 Westlake avenue will entertain with a card party the afternoon of February 1. The tables will be set for whist. Irish Evening The management of Hotel Alvarado h;is planned a novel and attractive entertainment for Friday evening, to which guests and friends will be welcomed. Nanno Wood, lately of Dublin, who writes her stories of Irish life, will give several impersonations in costume. Mrs. Harry Dow Kirbe, lyric soprano, will render a number of Irish ballads. Indianapolis Guest Mrs. William Hart of Indianapolis is visiting her brother. J. C. Hart of the Burlington apartments. , After Two Months in the East Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Peyton and daughter. Miss Emma Peyton, have returned from a two months' trip in the east and are at home at their Westlake avenue residence. Returned from San Diego Mr. and Mrs. Krasmus Wilson of 7 Chester place have returned after an absence of ten days in San Diego and Coronado.
