UNNECESSARY TROUBLE.

, The W. '■ P. iO. are worrying over their San Francisco nominations to a quite unnecessary extent. . Some of the lawyers have discovered that . the pledge exacted from certain candidates for a surrender of part of their official salaries, would invalidate their election. Kearney is for maintaining the pledges no matter what the lawyers say, ; and we think he is right. 'For as there is no probability that any of the W. P. C. candidates will come within a mile of being elected, they might just as well adhere ; , to ' their promises. It will please the Sand Lots, and it will hurt nobody else.
