Death of James H. Latham.

Telegrams were received here yesterday, stating that Mr. James H. Latham had died on the voyage from New York to Queenstown. Mr. Latham left our city only a few weeks since in very poor health, accompanied by his wife, his physicians havlng ordered him to take a trip across the waters in the hope that he wonld fully regain his health. He was a brother of Hon. Milton S. Latham of the London and San Francisco Bank, and was well and favorably known on the Coast. For years he was agent for Walls, Fargo at Co., at Victoria, Virginia City and Sacramento, Since 1870, he has been engaged as a stock broker in this city, doing a very extensive business and amassing a handsome fortune. The remains are to be brought to this city for interment.
