Official Congratulation— The Earp* Arrested—Fire. Tombstone, May lGth. — Under instructions from the General of the Army, General Wiilcox, commanding the Department of Arizona, has officially congratulated Major Tupper on the result of his recent brilliant campaign. The Sheriff of Arrapahoe county, Colorado, has notified Sheriff h an, of Cochise county, that Warren and Wyatt Earp and Doc Hoiliday have been arrested by him. Sheriff Behan will start to-morrow morning for the prisoners, and, the Court being in session, a speedy trial is probable, W-: » A fire this evening burned the block between Second and Third streets, on Toughnut. The buildings were mostly lodginghouses and dwellipgs. Ten building* were destroyed. Loss about $12,000. A Growl from Tombstone. Tombstone. May 16th. — Much comment is made here regarding the actions of tha Governor in the Earp case. Sheriff Behap, of this county, worked the case up, offered a reward out of his own pocket, and effected the capture of the desperadoes. He applied 1 > the Governor for a requisition and was refused, until the Territorial seal could be brought from Prescott. The Governor at Tucson said he should tea the indictments before giving a requisition. He then turned around and gave the requisition to Sheriff Pan], of Pima county, notorious for his friendship for the Earps, and whom common rumor says connived at their escape from tie Territory. The Governor evidently wishes that Paul should have the credit of the arrest, when Behan worked the case up. There are indictments against the Earps from both counties. ' ;; Ibe Capture of tbe K.irps. Tucson, May 10:h.— Sheriff Paul to day received a dispatch from the Sheriff at Den- ' ver, Col., that he had arrested and held in custody the Earp party, who are indicted in this county for the murder of Fiaak Sillwell. There are five men in the party. Tipton, one of the number, met a violent death in New Mexico two weeks ago, while attempting a robbery. Governor Tritle placed a requisition in the hands of Sheriff Paul, who leaves for Denver for the prisoners to-morrow morning. Perfect quiet has reigned in Cochise county since the Earp party left.
