The Stolen I lifted states Uoad-. New York, May 28tb. It is now believed the bonds found on the burglar Biady last night were the proceeds of j the robberj' of the Fir3t National Bank at Glen Falls. Mrs. Gale, of 581 Broadway, called at police headquarters and stated that she has a brother, David Gale, whose bonds were stolen Irom the First National Bank at Glen Falls three years ago and be thinks those found on Brady are a fortion of the stolen ones. Al?o that Elmore latt, A. \V. Black and Harriet P. Baldwin, whose bonds were stoleD, resided at Glen Falls at the time of the robbery of the bank. One hundred aud ninety thousand dollars in bonds were taken and tfaia is the first clue to them. The cashier of the bank has been telegraphed for to identify the bonds. National Agricultural Congress. Indianapolis, May 23th. The National Agricultural Congress convened at the House of Representatives at 9 o'clock this morning. In the absence of the President, Vice-President Garland of Illinois presided. A committee on credentials, consisting of Wheeler of Nebraska, Jackson of Tennessee, Williams of Indiana, Bliss of Vermont and Stevens of Minnesota, was appointed. No business beyond theappointmentot committees was transacted at the morning session. Pacific Mall bteainsbtp company— Election ot Directors. New York, May 28th. A fire at Carlisle, Kentucky, this morning destroyed the depot buildinar, express and telegraph offices, grocery of Rogers, Bank & Co., F. M. Peale's dry goods store, Singleton's bcot store, a millinery and tailor shop, and three dwellings. Losses mostly covered by insurance. A disastorous tire occurred at the same place several monihs ago. Telegraphic I'ropusal. St. Johns, Newfoundland, May 28th. The Government has notified the New York, Newfoundland and London Teiegraph Company that it will abandon its pre-emptive right if the company will abandon their monopoly of landing cables on Newfoundland ; if not they will exercise their pre-emptive right. Presbj tcriaus at the White House. Washington, May -28th. Several hundred delegates of tlie Presbvteriau General Assembly were received at the Executive Mansion to-day by members of the Cabinet, the President being absent. Rev. Dr. Nichols delivered a short address in behalf of the delegates, which was responded to by Secretary Fish.
