THE VAN NORMAN CASE.

Demurrers Interposed and Taken

Under Advisement.

The three indictments against W. G. Van Norman for receiving stolen goods came up before Judge Hart yesterday and Van Norman's counsel, Hiram W. Johnson, interposed a demurrer in two of them. In the third he interposed a demurrer and also made a motion to dismiss because the complaint had been signed by the District Attorney's clerk instead of by the District Attorney himself. Judge Hart took the cases under advisement until this morning.
