Accident at Oneida.

About 7 o'clock Sunday evening James Baldasar, a young Italian, had the three flrst fingers of his left hand crushed while working at tho donkey engine underground in the Oteida mine. He was 1 hoidiajr on to a rope with his left hand when the engine suddenly started, and before ho had time to loosen his grip his hand was crushed in a : pulley. Dr. Gall was called, and amputated the iujured fingers. Baldasar is 23 years old, and has boeu in this country but a few months. It will take about two mouths for his hand to heal.' '
