SUIT OVER SHEEP.

The case of Harvey S. Blood vs. Barney Barnesquet has been on trial in the superior court since Wednes day. Plaintiff sues for the recovery of $3500, alledged to be balance due on the proceeds of sale of a band of sheep. The case arose in Alpine county, where the parties were in a partnership in the sheep business and pastured stock there in summer. The cause of action originated in 1901, $2000 was paid according to plaintiff's story on this transaction June of that year. There is an array of legal talent engaged in the trial. William M. Thornburg and Solinsky and Wehe for plaintiff, and Henry C. Mc Pike for defendant. The case is still on trial, before the court without a jury.

The defense contended that other payments had been made, and the full amount due had been paid.

The testimony was finished yesterday afternoon, when the attorneys agreed to compromised the case, the terms to be arranged by stipulation.
