Amador Ledger-Dispatch, 4 August 1911 — State Highway. [ARTICLE]

State Highway.

H. F. Hill of, the state department of enginers, arrived in Jackson last evening from Angels Camp enroute to Markleville, where he will organize a new force of workmen, and start them working this direction on the new state highway. A big force was started at the big trees last week, and it is expected to have the various gangs connect with their work sometime this fall.

Jackson's crew of roadbuilders are making fine progress in their work, they are several miles out, and will soon be obliged to go to and from work in teams.
