Don’t get caught shopping across the bridge! That's right, don't get caught across the bridge shopping. Shop in Coronado! Why? How dare you ask!? How about community spirit, loyalty, doing for others as they have done for you are some of the emotional reasons (and why I shop here), but there are strategic reasons as well. Cost, yes cost is a primary reason. You do get what you pay for in Coronado without the expense of gas (don't forget the extra $.05 tax recently added to the price of a gallon of that good stuff), not to mention the bridge toll if you are alone. How about quality? Would a neighbor sell you anything but the best? Have you been in the shops of Coronado lately? The shops, the goods they display, and the sense of pride they have reflects the confidence the owners have in their merchandise. Convenience - not only can you walk or bike to shop, but if there is a change in size needed or a different color...the problem can be solved in a few minutes, rather than the hour or more it would take over the bridge. Let us not forget friendly service like having the sales person know your name and really caring that you are happy with your purchase. As we Coronadans know, once a shopping habit is established in a particular store, they know you well enough to begin to predict your needs. This means your size, your brand, and its there when you need it! Wouldn't you rather help your neighbor, than a stranger? Well consider than the merchants in Coronado do so much in effort and dollars to help this community. The list goes on-and-on... Schools Foundation, Coronado Hospital, Playhouse, Rotary, Kiwanis. Lions, library...! Don't expect to see that discount store manager across the bridge spending time and dollars in this community. Your local store owners, managers, and clerks do! Just a few reasons I shop Coronado!
