Ringling Bros. Stages San Diego Show

Send in the clowns. And the tigers. And the elephants. And the horses. And the performing dogs. And, for the first time, the Mongolians, the Chinese, the Russians and the Filipinos. It’s the 122nd edition of the Ringling Bros, and Bamum & Bailey Circus which will appear for 10 performances, July 15-19 at the San Diego Sports Arena. Kadyr Khan, a descendant of the legendary Genghis Khan, will lead his charging brigade of horsemen. Members of the Mongolian National Folk Dance Troupe will perform traditional dances unchanged over the centuries. There will be women contortionists and a demonstration by Mongolia’s strongest man, Amarjargal, who tosses and twirls iron weights. Chinese Ninjas will fill all three rings in a demonstration of the ancient martial

art of Wushu. And on the high wire from Moscow will be the prima ballerina of the high wire, Fatima. Foot jugglers from the Philippines will demonstrate their amazing routines. All this —and peanuts, too. The show schedule is July 15,7:30 pm; July 16-17,1:30 and 7:30 pm; July 18,11 am and 3:30 and 8 pm, and July 19,1:30 and 7:30 pm.
