Twenty-mne of Coronado’s greatest eateries gathered last Tuesday night at the Hotel del Coronado to present a bigger and better “Tastefully Coronado 1992”. Jack White from Channel 10 was the Master of Ceremonies in the Grande Hall which lured in approximately 750 very satisfied guests. Primavera, The Brigantine, Marco’s and McP’s topped the favorite list this year by enticing the crowd with their delectable entrees. Primavera’s table, decorated with linen, candles and beautiful orchids, displayed a luscious Chicken Valdostano and Tortelline Porcini, and was positioned next to a strong competitor. The Brigantine which served a spicy Swordfish Relleno that people could not stop talking about.

Marco’s drew repeat visits from hundreds with the Scampi con Funghi, while Me P’s Corned Beef was taken so quickly, owner Greg McPartlin had to return to his restaurant at 7:00 for more. This years Directors of the Coronado Food & Beverage Association, Maida Clark/President, Gwen Belsvik/Vice President, Bill Bender/Secretary, Greg McPartlin/Treasurer, and members Pat Walsh, Mario Esquer, Darci Nixon and Steve Schakne did a marvelous job in putting the event together. The Food & Beverage Association expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the assistance and cooperation received from the 1992 Host, Hotel del Coronado. Steve Schakne/Vice President - Food & Beverage Manager, along with Sandi Ranck and Lisa Weisenger helped make this gala event one of Coronado’s biggest of the year. Businesses and Associations that should be recognized for their long efforts and many invested hours are The
