Coronado Spring Open Tennis Tournament Held

H On Sunday May 21 many local residents were entertained by a day long ijhedule of matches. These were the final ißfttchcs of a week long tennis tournament. At Debby Linder and Altay Cataloglu defeated Mami Hunt and Jim Wheeler 3-6,6-4, 6-4 in the final of the Mixed Doubles Championships. At 3 pm Pat Henson defeated Jirnbo Rowe 6-1, 6-2 in the final of the Men's Singles Championships. The final match of die day was an exciting three setter in which Bobby Kennedy and Jimbo Rowe defeated Pat and Scooter Henson 6-1,6-7 (7-4), 6-3 in the final of the Men's Doubles Championship. j Other winners in the tournament were: Mami Hunt, Women's Singles; Becky Chamberlain and Pam Noble, Women's Doubles; Cindy Pitman, Consolation Women's Singles, Kate

The next adult tournament at the Coronado tennis Center is scheduled for the week of Aueust 20-28.
