Believe In The Future

Dear Editor; The Coronado Schools Foundation does. The faculty and students do. The iriany Coronado clubs and civic organizations do. The hundreds of volunteers and parents do. The Navy “partners in education” do. Now, during the Coronado Schools Foundation April and May membership drive, all community members have the opportunity to believe in the future The future is our schools and children. As a Coronado Schools Foundation Director, and dad to a ninth and sixth grader 1 can assure you that the faculty, staff and the students in the Coronado School system are the best. I can also tell you that the tools hey need, (such as computers, software, library reference materials, science and math materials, and other learning enrichment and fine arts programs), are not. These education tools are not extras or nice to have. They are not fluff or feel good acaessTntial 1 ? 6 tools . our studen * need are essential community investments in the a * n s ‘ m Pl e > fhe state will not provide sufficient resources to enhance our

beliet in the future. Whether present or past narent, present or past citizen of Coronado, I urse you to partner withe the Coronado schools, become a member of the Coronado Schools Foundation, and believe in the future. Jim Harris
