“Bustin’ Surfboards,” the Tornadoes’ hit of the 19605, is back. On the sound Kck of the hit movie, “Pulp Fiction,” and Hthe B-side of the sound-track album, the Ert instrumental hit will be the signature Kie of this Sunday’s Concert in the Park Enuring the Tornadoes. : All five musicians of the original group pnll appear, band leader Gerald Sanders,

brother Norman, cousin Jesse, drummer Leonard Delaney and sax player George White. Early hits such as “The Gremmie” and “Moondawg” will bring back memories of other hot groups such as The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean and the Righteous Brothers. The free concert, sponsored by Yvonne and Lew Bamum and the Coronado Shores Co., will begin at 6 p.m. in Spreckels Park.

Fun-Filled Carnival At Coronado High School Benefits The Technology Academy Clockwise from bottom left; 1 . The CHS carnival Saturday and Sunday to benefit the Technology Academy covered the football field with color, food and kids, who enjoyed the rides and games. The fun event netted nearly $5,000 to help fund the continuing program at Coronado High School. 2. Surf and Rock & Roil favorites of the 1960'5, The Tornadoes, will perform Sunday at 6:00 pm during the Concert-in-the-Park. The Tornadoes are best known for the hit “Bustin Surfboards,’ revised recently on the soundtrack of Pulp Fiction.
