Games Played May 11, 1996 Tee Ml Black Jaguars vs Street Sharks: The Black Jaguars came out the Ist inning with strong hitting led by Michael Feldman who slammed a homerun. Throughout the game, awesome fielding was shown by Nicky Gomez-Hall at shortstop, Collin Brook at 3rd, along with Joshua Cabral and Eric Clapper in the outfield. In the second inning, Daniel Henshaw was strong at the plate with a solid homerun to center field. Great plays, including a tagged out, were made by 2nd baseman Bryan Crabb. Keep up the super play Jaguars - just one more logo! Rangers vs Coronado Financial Services Navy Blue; Jeffrey Lyon’s hard hit triple drove in 2 runs. Casey Shannon, Dylan Marston and Travis Wright all had a good day at the plate. Heads-up fielding by Andre Dehesa and Christopher Barnes contained the defensive play. Michael Lamme caught a great game. Angels vs Rangers: Against the Rangers, the Angels showed solid

hitting with a homerun by Dillon Hakes, triple by Mickey Lewis, and a double by Bryan Mitchell. Strong on defense were Morgan Ronimus as catcher, Sam Working at 3rd, and Rosie Harris in the outfield. The Green Lizards vs The Red Dogs: (Game Played May 11): An aggressive defense by the Green Lizards led by Jordan Vance, Rebecca Crabb and Steven Karamoto was balanced with a strong batting order including Joseph Lorge, Doug James and James Laslavic with all 3 RBIs supported by steady preformers; Greg Hayden, Kathryn Sherman. Terry Murphy and Julian Blaseio for another closely contested game. Blue Jays vs Green Geckos: Super team spirit was displayed today by Jacob Abrantes, Kramer De Laurentis, Marcus Battaglia and Justin Randal. Super hitting was delivered by Judd Lyon, Cody Turner, Philip Smith, and Alex Yardley, Super plays were made by Danny Bridge, Jack Clifton, Willie Teran. Evan Wheeler, Joshua West, and Michael Watson making for a super game.

Caps Dairy Queen Scorpions vs Coronado Square Royals (16-15) : The DQ Scorpions narrowly edged the Royals a close game by 16-15. Solid hitting was seen at the plate by Ben Garcia. Defensive standouts included Chris Anson at first base and Anthony Forsythe at 2nd base. Bay Beach Cafe Sluggers vs Dairy Queen Scorpions (15-4): The Bay Beach Cafe Sluggers beat the Dairy Queen Scorpions 15-4, behind Max Weinfurtner’s homer, double and 3 RBl’s, and an unassisted double play by game ball winner, Stewart Harris. Diego Gomez-Hail sparkled at Ist base, while Geoffrey Worley and Alex Brooke made great throws to nail baserunners, Andrew CalhounFalkiewicz, Kyle Boatwright and Matthew Cohen rounding out the scoring, while Andrew Cox and Brian McNeely played hard on the field and at the plate. Oakwood A’s vs Green Hornets (14-11); The A’s really know who the bosses are rounding out yet another win. Pitcher Taylor Hakes and Ist baseman Nathan Tobiason have a system that gets the out at Ist nearly

everytime. Heavy hitter included Glen Gaines, David Taylor. Nick Shepherd, Steven Sullivan. Taylor Charter Andrew Christie, and Bryan Hardy. Kyle Macleod stunned the crowd with a super homerun that brough in 2 runners with him. Hurray for the A’s. Oakwood vs Professional Square Royals (20-8): Can the A’s be unstoppable? Nathan Tobiason opened up the Ist inning scoring with a homer. Macleod gave us “something to talk about" in the 2nd with a grandslam as well as playing some awesome 1 st base and catching a super high pop hit for the 3rd out in the 4th. An outstanding double play at Ist and 2nd was cleanly executed by Nathan Tobiason and Nick Shepherd in the final inning leaving the A's with an almost unbelievable 20 runs. Minors Mariners vs Rockies: (Game Played May 8-(20-6); Cody Ebbert led the Mariners’ to victory with a home run, a single, and three innings of perfect pitching striking out nine batters. Ryan Nunn and Jake Ruzevick also had two hits each. Mariners vs Indians: (Game Played May-11(7-5); Excellent defense was the key to the Mariners’ victory. John Tiderman matte two great plays at the third base and Ryan Nunn, Steven Mancini and Dane Kennedy made outstanding catches in the outfield. Majors Coronado Devil Rays (14) vs Coronado Diamond Backs: The Coronado Devil Rays met rival Coronado team. Diamond Backs once again at Tideland Park. The Diamond Backs led 4-1 until the 3rd inning when Colby Kelly started a rally hitting a nice single with two RBIs. In the same inning, Katrina Church hit a triple sending another run in. At the bottom of the inning the Devil Rays were leading, 8-5 and the Diamond Backs never caught up. The Devil Rays next game is scheduled for Monday, May 13 at Tidelands park at 4:30 P.M. Coronado Hardware Yankees Win Indians (8-6): The Yankees started out slow, with the Indians leading 4-0 until the 3rd inning. Billy Gullion started a rally with a nice hit

and an RBI, Cote Perkins also had 2 hits with a total of 3 RBIs. At the bottom of the 3rd, Yankees led 7-5, the Indians never caught up. Notable defensive plays were made by 2nd base Eric Gillem and pitcher Billy Gullion striking out 3 in the last inning. The Yankees next game will be held at Bradley Field at 4:30 pm on Monday, May 13, against the A’s. Lions Club Cubs vs Coronado Hardware Yankees (6-3); Michael Mohr earned a complete game victory, striking out nine Yankees in the game. Michael also went 2-4 and scored 2 runs. Thomas Holder had a homerun, a double and 2 RBIs. Morgan Cummins went 3-4 at the plate and Doug Fortune made a gamesaving catch in right field. Lions Club Cubs vs Coronado Rotary Club A’s (76); Steve Sartain pitched 5 strong innings. Morgan Cummins closed out the game on the mound for the Cubs and added a homer at the plate. Mike Axelson continued his season-long fine defensive play at shortstop. Fred Keller and Ryan Turner played well defensively, sharing time at the backstop position. Majors Softball Coronado Marlins vs Clairemont Rangers: (Game played May 9-(13-7); As darkness fell and the dust cleared, the Coronado Marlins found themselves on top against the Clairemont Rangers. Defensively, 2nd baseman Regina Conrad to 3rd baseman Erin Ayres who threw to 1 st baseman Christina Crowder for the outs. Unassisted outs by 3rd baseman Courtney Charter helped to hold back the Rangers’ low scoring. (Game played May 11-(16-10): In the Coronado Marlin’s second meeting against the Clairemont Rangers, the Marlins took the lead and kept it till the end. Solid hitting by Brittani Thiel, Debra Wiesbarth. Christina Crowder, Erin Ayres and Courtney Charter, helped to keep the Marlins ahead. Defensively, Fly ball catches by pitchers Erin Ayres and Nicole Cohen, 3rd baseman Courtney Charter to 1 st baseman Christina Crowder, LFTeal Jenson to 3rd baseman Debra Wiesbarth all helped to slow down the Rangers’ effort to score.
