Coronadan Dorothy Vasher Passes Away

Dorothy Vashey, a resident of Coronado since 1942, died May 5 at Ross Care Convalescent Hospital in National City. She was 90. She worked for Convair during World War II and then transferred to the North Island Repair Facility as a dispatcher. She retired in 1976, when she was 70. She belonged to the Eagles

Auxiliary in National City and the Emblem Club in Chula Vista. She was a director for the San Diego Bowling Association at one time and continued to bowl until she fractured her hip at 75. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Fredona Schultz, in Cedar Rapids, lowa and four nieces and nephews. There will be no services.
