Council Is Urged To Reconsider Center Divider Gardens

An Open Letter Dear Editor: I would hope that Mayor Mary Herron and all Coronado Council Members would reconsider the CoronadoCenterdividergardens. Our beautiful Crown City is looking like a graveyard more each day. For years the center divider of beautiful pine trees and green grass has been a shining symbol of our

lovely city. We were proud when the center divider was decorated with shining lights during the holidays. We were proud when all the flags were blowing along the avenue. We were proud when people from all over the world flocked to our city to sit on the median strip to watch our magnificent 4th of July Parade. Now, bit by bit, week by week, all of this glory is being lost. I would

hope that the mayor and council members would reconsider while there is still time. Do we want a graveyard right down the center of our lovely city? I think not. I do hope that they will stop this foolishness no matter how well intended. It is not the place. The city belongs to all of us. Sincerely, Gregory and Patricia R. Panawek
