To our Subscribers.

THE END OF THE YEAR The end of the year is now approaching, nnd all who have watched the setting of the sun ; must have observed how rapidly it passes away from Sight when near the edge of tbe horizon ; so will it be with the going out of the Old Year, a few weeks .' and it is gone.

We make these remarks, to urge home upon hose who are now indebted to this Journal, how mportant it is, that we should have tbe tun light of their active remembrance of us, before this year closes, so that we may, thus, be enabled to with all such in deed aod truth, "A Happy New Year." And feeling thus happy, be able to improve our Journal in our new volume, with the means thus justly furnished us.

If the long list of names enrolled in this office, could be seen hy all, there are none whom we think would desire any other than a fair record and such we most devoutly hope may be the case, before this year shall tell its requiem.
