Grain, ate The Grain Market thia week shows conclusive eviscree of a still further decline abroad which must most materially effect our interests at Home-The Liverpool .notations come to us at 10s. 3d. being the lowest point tor a long time, while Now York quotation have receded from *2,20 back to $1,90 per bushel currency, in about one month. Buoh facts as these should show our grain growers that there is but one sure way for them, always sell their crops at the "Harvest timo"-Let them go back for th. entire period of California culture, and they will Ind the average best at tho Harvest. There may be local causes that would cause a rise at ether seasons, but tbe only safe course for the Paont'cir is to sell at the lfare«< lime. We have watched these interests for nearly si-rteen »<•<"« and we can aver with a certainty that the safe oourso is that we have feinted out. The information that eomos to us from Europe and the Eastern States clearly show that little or no grain will be sont abroad, unless of a lower rate, than formerly. Our Grain growers may be well satisfied if tho opening season will secure to them any certainty for IJc for their very best wheat, tho averago prieo cannot exceed l|a, for the amount planted this season ia beyond all conception great. Were we to say to our grain growers that tho large amount of surplus wheat now on band in this State would require one hundred and fifty cesser's toearry it •way, it would be esteemed a largo or excessive statement yet it would not alter the FmtM of the case, and the prospective orop of 16(59, added to what is on hand will require Six Hirdred Sates, to Export tbe same. What then will be the oondition of our Grain Market kere tho coming Summer and Autumn ? We speak from knowledge of the amount planted, and the present prospect of an abundant crop, for it is very certain that tho grain was never planted in a better manner, nor has it ever promised so well as at the present moment. That the amount planted is very largo, we can name many amounts from 5,000 to s and 10,000 acres each, and there aro single planters as high as 12,000 to 17,000 acres caeb. He aro glad to know that the favorable weather during January and late into February, induced quite a Kberal planting of Barley which wo think will pay the planter well. Our Grain growers who read tho Daily papers will aeo that we have nearly Thirty Veit'h in port waiting freight, but little or no grain going forward. Our advices are favorable from the East for tho Bpring clip of Wool which will be very large in California this year and of a superior quality. Betai: Prices in the Fruit Market. During the past week our Fruit Market has been brightened up witb a good supply of Tine Apples, Ban. anas, Oranges, Citrons, Lemons nnd Limes. Tho Pine Apples in some instances were exceedingly fine, and well ripened, and handsome. Often have we giv. en ten, fifteen und ns high as twenty dollars each, in Covent Garden Market, London, for Pines oot better than what can bo purchased hero at one dollar each. Strawberries have como rather sparingly to hand this woek. We observed some pretty specimens of the "Burre gris d'Hiver Nouveau Pear," it is an excellent variety of rich flavor, anl a free bearer, it is well worth the attention of our orchardists, on account of its keeping qualities ; with care the pear can be preserved until May. Apples as a rule are very indifferent in qua!ity, an l not over plentiful. Tbe Market bai been well supplied with salads ofthe leading varieties; also, with cabbages and liroccoli, the latter > f which are unusually line, mure particularly the "Chappells Cream Broocoli'' one wo measure.l at Me ■■ Stowart A Huckley's, was sixteen inches in diameter and close upon Cfty inches in circumference, when rut it weighed upwards of sixteen pounds. They had a large stock on hand and many equally fine. These were grown by a gardener near this city, and otio who knows from experience that 1 gardening pays ■est. The Broccolis were richly manured and planted a» fair distance a part; hence, tbe fir.es of them and the good price ihcy realized—it will be observed from the prices below, that tbe Spring is making rapid strides npon us. Green peas have fallen from one dollar to twenty Live cents per pound, and other articles in proportion.

Salmon (at this period of the season) was never known to be so cheap—in fact it is tho cheapest variety in the market, and of oourso the best. One pound of Salmon is equal to two or three pounds of most other sorts. Our Golden Gate and its connexions must bo too rich for tho commoner sorts of fish, such as Herrings and Sea Bass, for nt present and for some time past there has been none iv the Market.
