Oceanside is all stirred up over a petition duly signed with names above the necessary number, presented to the trustees asking the adoption of an ordinance licensing saloons. An election must be held or an ordinance granting the request mu? 4 be passed. On the other hand, 0 ceanside is to. have a $15,000 H rh School building. T. C. Kistner of San Diego planned the new High School that Oceanside will build, and its cost

will be $15,000. The building is to be reinforced concrete, one story and a basement, 188 feet in length. It will have a south exposure and will contain five rooms. The central room, 38x40 feet, will be used as an auditorium, and on each side of it will be four recitation rooms, 24x30 feet m size. Each of the class rooms will seat 40 pupils the study hall will care for 175. The laboratory wiII be in the basement and is to be 24x32 feet. Bids for its erection will soon be called.
