EARTHQUAKE SHOCKS.

Tuesday evening about 8 o’clock those residents of this city who were sitting quietly were rocked by a small earthquake shack, that lasted for about half a minute, but did no damage beyond giving a little scare. About an hour later a heavier shock was felt. Here is a mighty mean item from the Hamlin Reporter: A Hamlin man taught bis dog to chew tobacco. Now the dog comes into the house by the back door, never will scrape his feet on the mat, never goes to church or Sunday school, is careless about his meals, gets burs in his tall, goes with the lower grade of dogs, stays out late, at night and it is feared he is beginning to take an interest in politics.
