FIRE DEPARTMENT

Coronado’s fire department is a volunteer one but has attained a high degree of efficiency. A paid driver for the chemical engine is maintained and a corps of 15 Citizens, pledged to answer all calls, receive the nominal pay of $25 each a year. The fire fighters are well supplied with hose and with the excellent water pressure always maintained, are equipped to take care of any fire that might develop.
