ROY STRUM RETURNS

Roy Strum has returned from the wilds of Wyoming, and is recuperating at the old homestead. He says he wouldn’t have come home so soon, only a ladder fell on him, arid hurt bis back, and he thought a month or two in Coronado would be beneficial. Roy left here about a year agp for Bremerton, to work in the Navy Yard there. Says he liked the job all right, only he had 153 bosses, and it was rather hard to please ’em all. Directly over him was the leading man, thbn the quarter man, the master, bolo man, one striper, one and a half striper, two striper, two and a half striper, three striper and four striper. They all had different ideas as to the way the work should be done. After Roy left the Navy Yard he went to Montana. He roughed it a while, and one night, wl)en he was down to 35 cents, he and his pal rented a room, and the pal got up first and stole all Roy’s clothes but a shirt, and he had to stay in bed till the maid copld rustle him some clothes to get out in. Maybe we will be able to persuade Roy to tell you about his experiences some time.
