Charity Ball Com. Makes Announcement

The Charity Ball committee has made the following important announcement: The Charity Ball is the social event of the season. It is one of the oldest institutions in San Diego, and conceded! y the most elaborate as well as the most popular. Its object is two-fold: First, to assist financially two of the city’s moat esteemed charities, the Children’s Home and the Children’s Hospital; and second, to bring together in social such of San Diego’s men and women as are interested in the social and civic life of the community. There are many eligible citizens here, those recently arrived and even those of longer residence who have not yet ‘found themselves’ or made the contacts they desire. May we not sugguests to all that, for our sake and for their own, they mail us their names and we will be delighted to send them invitations to the ball. This function is to be held in the ballroom of the Hotel del Coronado on the evening of Feb. 20, and includes an elaborate program of sped al dancing arranged by the society people of San Diego and Coronado. Tickets are $6 a couple. Boxes are considerably more, but as these have all practically been spoken for, any requests for a box must come immediately. We will appreciate your sending in requests for invitations to Mrs. Hugo Klauber, chairman of the invitations committee, 2626 Park Avenue.
