He was a free agent. • • • James Wlltsle, former Pittsfield, Albany and New Haven pitcher, has signed with Greenville of the South Atlantic league. • • • The Louisville Times declares that Kenesaw Mountain Landis Is not a czar. This will certainly be news to Kenesaw Mountain. • • • H. S. Ouyler of Pittsburgh, who finished last season with an average of .354 at bat, Is bidding well to repeat If not surpass his record. • • • Victor Gonger, who was with Pittsfield of the Eastern league for a short spell last season, has signed for another trial.
