Spectrum of Erek's Comet Discovered.

Washington, November 24th.— An official report to the Navy Department from Rear Admiral Sands, Superintendent of the Naval Observatory, in this city, says that on the evening of the 16th inst., Professors Harkness and Hale, attached to the Observatory, succeeded in discovering the spectrum of Erek's comet. . The Proffesors think the comet consists simply of cloud and glowing gas. Washington (D.
