Private cables report the London Wool sales yesterday firmer. Prices improved lc over the November .sales. Visitors on 'Change yesterday were Paris Kilburn of Salinas, J. B. Cook and E. Swinford of Colusa, L. A, Applegate and J. F. Archibald of Merced, and J. Lavoy of Fort VTingate, New Mexico. The steamer Granada arrived yerterday morning •with the following included in her cargo: From Central America and Mexico— 327o bags Coffee, 821 do Sugar, 223 pkgs Hides, ISO bxs Fruit. The steamer Oceanic arrived yesterday from Hongkong -w ith tbe following amounts included in her cargo : For this p0rt— 32.505 pkgs Eice, 037 do Tea, 21 do Silk, 1310 do Oil, 356 do Opium, 3G4 do Spice, 1215 do Linseed, 1000 bales Hemp, 1232 do Jute. The Guatemala Star of December 29th says : The harvest of Coffee has begun and so far as reported is abundant and of excellent quality. . The price in this market is eighteen dollars (silver) a quintal, and judging from the lively demand that exists, it will continue to htill further advance. The following clipping from the Guatemala Star ■will be of interest to shippers : At the mouth of the Michatoya River there will soon be established another port of entry, which will be known as Port Morazan. The Government has entered into a contract with Senores Barros and Suarez, on the part of a company of capitalists of London, who will furnish the funds to carry on the enterprise. This is another evidence of the present prosperous state of tho country. A. W.
