VAGRANT HINDU TRUE TO REMS BELIEF Boohr Singh Refuses to Touch Food Furnished in the San iose Prisons.

Jatler Thomas Monahhn of the County baetlle, In watching with con* slderable Interest the case of Boohr Singh, a Hindoo, who has been sentenced by Justice Davison to serve five days In the County Jail. Singh had been confined several days in the City Prison also and during that time he refused to touch the tegular prison fare, which consists chiefly of “Mulligan Slew.” It being contrary to his religion and training to eat anything containing meat. He also turns up his nose at all other food furnished. Whether or not Boohr will continue hia fast until he serve* his sentence out remains to be seen.
