</SectionTextHeader><SectionText>&lt;p&gt;FURUSETH ASKS HEAVY DAMAGES&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Secretary of .the Sailors' Union Sues Pacific Mail Company for a Big Sum&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;HE DEMANDS $205,000&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Alleges Injury by Reason of Corporation's ; Importa^ tion of. Chinese Seamen&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In a suit filed in the United States District Court yesterday Andrew Furuseth, secretary of the Coast Sailors' Union, claims to have been damaged to tht extent of $205,000 by the Pacific Mail Steamship. Company, from which he seeks to recover that amount. Furuseth alleges that . the damages, sustained bv him grew out of the action of the company in transferring 205 Chinese sailors from the steamship Siberia to the big liner Manchuria. The complaint contains 205 counts, one for each of the crew, and $1000 damages is claimed in each allegation. It is set forth that the Pacific Mail Steamship Company, contrary to law, Imported the Chinese under contract to labor in th« United States.
