Bradner W.Lee ha» received a telegram i from Dr. Pardee saying that he will be i present at the Republican demonstration ratification meeting here next Saturday right. Superior Judge Shaw has resigned! from the Republican county ticket and today the resignation will be accepted by the county committee. Curtis D. Wilbur's name will go on the ticket Ir. I accordance with Instruction given by the county convention. The president of the Third Ward Republican club has called a meeting of that club at Metropolitan hall, 327V4 South Spring street, for Friday night, at which meeting matters-pertaining to the campaign will come up. A reception will be given to the nominee for congress and the Republican county nominees. Refreshments will be served. In conformity with the requirements of the new primary election law, L. C Gates and W. S. Cord, chairman and secretary of the Republican city central committee, addresed a petition to the city council today requesting hat a deaignation and pmoe be given to tl»c Republican party upon the official primary election ballot. Tne convention will be composed of 438 deleiates, the apportionment having been made on the basis of on? delegate to each twenty-flvo votes, and the major fraction thereof, cf the average vote cast for Republican nominees for presidential electors at the last general election held In November, 1900.
