Election of Superior Judges—Explanation

BY recent decision of the supreme court, this is the official form of the ballot. ! ;; , As will appear below, the phrase "Vote for Four;' means "You may, if you wish, vote for four."... For Judge of the Superior Court, I j (For the Uneirplred Term) . |.| ,;</,'. .W. H. JAMISON. § H ' j Jamison's candidacy for unexpired -term is uncontested and has nothing to do with the others who are running for full terms. Notwithstanding their position on the ballot, Stephens is not running against Wilbur any more than the others. That is, you may vote for either or for both. , You may vote for any one, any two, any three or any four of the five candidates running for full terms. The Republican candidate receiving the lowest* number of votes will be defeated by Stephens' election. • The Democrats, having conceded three Republicans out of the four by making only one nomination, should vote for Stephens only. *-i ■ Three of the four Republicans will be elected anyhow. Therefore, Republicans desiring to signify their approval of a non-parti-san judiciary should vote for Stephens. U\ Then, with the holdovers, the full superior bench of the county will stand one, Democrat to. eight Republicans. ■■ . '■■■'.'-*'■■
