L. A. Hotel Puts Ban on Ragging; Society Grieves

Once more the ban has been put on ragging. And this time in no less-place than the Rex arms apartments where for weeks pretty girls and gay youths have bunny-hugged, turkey-trotted, and tangoed to their heart’s content. But today the management has issued an edict that hereafter there will be no ragging allowed. If anyone tries It he or she will be politely but most firmly ordered to stop. The Rex Arms shelters many tourists and among these tourists are a number of fathers and mothers who disapprove of ragging. It was partly In deference to their wishes that the new rule has been invoked. Their daughters, however, it is said, are greatly grieved over the proposition, as are also a number of the best known young folk In Los Angeles society who attend those Friday night parties. The new rule will go into effect tomorrow night.
