Nevada Territorial Items.

From the Virginia Union of Saturday last, we condense the following items: There is much building going on between Virginia City and Gold Hill. The Sanitary Ball given on Thursday evening last, yielded a handsome sum The work in the mines in King's Cañon, is being prospected vigorously with extremely favorable prospects. The Allen Gold and Silver Mining Company has filed its certificate of incorporation. Capital Stock $928,000, 1.850 shares of $50 each. Wages of miners are $4 per day. Thos. P. Andrews and John Harold, confined in Fort Churchill for using treasonable language, have been released.

☞ John A. McClernand was married to Miss Minerva Dunlap, of Jacksonville, a sister of his former wife, a few days since.

Contest.—Nathan Baker contest the right of J. W. Freeman to hold a seat in Assembly, from the county of Tulare, alledging that the Secesh Board of Supervisors threw out the votes of a Union precinct, which, if counted, would have given Baker 85 maj.

A Liberal Action.--The Pacific Mail Steamship Company has voted to pay half salary until the first of January 1864, in favor of the widows and orphans of any of their employes who were lost by the disaster of the steamship Golden Gate.

Mail Route to Salt Lake.—The Legislature of Washington Territory has memorialized Congress to establish a mail route between Walla Walla and Salt Lake.

Prisoners.—An Eastern paper states that an exchange has taken place between, the rebel government and the Federals for all prisoners on hand or on the books, and the balance shows 6,200 against the rebels and this count includes their Harpers' Ferry haul. Thus she owes us 6,200 men, 452 of whom are officers.

The San Francisco Evening Journal has entered upon its 5th volume and the third year of its existence.

We learn from the Esmeralda Star that the Hon. E. W. McKinstry, formerly Judge of the Seventh Judicial District, has permanently located in Aurora, Mono County where he will resume the practice of law.— Judge McKmstry resigned his position of Judge of this Districted about two months ago.

More Copper.—Quite an excitement has existed in this neighborhood tor several weeks, says the Amador Dispatch, in consequence of the rich and newly-discovered copper vein, near Mr. Farmer's Mountain Spring House, Amador county, about six miles below Jackson, on the Ione road. This lead is supposed to be a continuation of the Copperopolis and Campo Seco vein, and has been traced for several miles. Dr. Newton recently refused the sum of $6,000 for his interest in a claim lately opened in the above named locality. Amador will, at no distant day, rival Calaveras county in copper mining.

Stock Raiser's Report.—A printed circular, embodying a report of the Stork Raiser's Convention, recently. held in San Francisco, says there are at present fully 1,800,000 head of cattle in this State. The annual increase will reach 600,000. The consumption is about 400,000.

Shooting.—At Susanrille, Honey Lake Valley, on Sunday, Dec. 21st, Charles Seeman was shot and supposed mortally wounded by one G. W. llvde. The parties met upon the street at Susanville, when some hi;„'h words passed between them, pud llyd-r drew his reyolreraiid shotSsemaa, the ball enterin"; his chest and passing through his body. Sceman was aniit-d with a revolver also. Hyde was immediately arrested and taken before \V, J. Youn*, who. upon hearing of the case, bound him over in the stun of 53,000, and upon f.iilura to give bands, to be committed to Jail. l[f was committed. The trouble was about a woman.
