CHIEF JUSTICE HAS RESIGNED

SAN FKANCISCO, Nov. 14. The resignation of Chief Justice Don is W. Meyers of the supreme ourt of California is announced today by Governor Friend W. Richardson. Justice Meyer’s letter of resignation. which was made public, states his desire is for a longer rest than would be possible if he were to continue in office. The resignation was accepted. effective January 1, 1926. The governor refuses to comment on his successor, but the rumor around the state building mentions Benjamin P. Bledsoe of Los Angeles. Justice Meyers was appointed to his present position when Curtis D. Wilbur resigned to become sectetary of the navy.
