SAN DIKGO (UPI) Gov. Brown, making a round of public appearances in Southern California, was expected to announce today the appointment of Atty. Gen. Stanley Mosk. 51. to the state Supreme Court. His long-predicted appointment to the high court was made possible bv the announced retirement Monday of chief justice Phil S. Gibson. Gibson. 71, announced he would retire Aug. 31 after serving almost 25 years. San Francisco Dist. Atty. Thomas C. Lynch today confirmed reports he has been offered and will accept appointment as California's new attorney general.
