WANTS DIVORCE

NEW YORK, Dec. 30. (JP) The marital affairs of Leonard Kip Rhinelander, heir to $100,000,000, and his wife, rdaughter of a negro chauffeur, are to be before the courts again in a separation suit brought by his wife. Mrs. Rhinelander, who two years ago defeated the attempts of her husband to secure an annulment of their marriage on the grounds that she had deceived him as to her race and color, now asks for a separation on the basis Of cruelty, inhuman treatment and abandonment. She asks no specific alimony. Papers in the suit were delivered yesterday at the office of Sheriff Underbill for service against Rhinelander. Meanwhile Rhinelander, the New York Daily News said today, has gone to Louisiana to establish a residence preliminary to seeking divorce. Prohis Dismantle Gaudy Night Club NEW YORK, Dec. 30. (JP) Chez Helen Morgan, one of New York's most gorgeous night clubs, was dismantled by federal prohibition agents early today after they arrested Miss Morgan and 'eight male employes, seized a dozen bot-' ties of liquid and spent two and one-half hours questioning 850 guests. Fixtures and furnishings, valued at $50,000, were loaded on six motor trucks and carted to a warehouse. Prohibition Administrator Maurice E. Campbell, who headed the raiding party of twenty-five agents, said five agents had been gathering evidence against the club for the last week. He refused to discuss his action in dismantling the establishment. The club, located in West Fiftyfourth street,' Just off Broadway, was crowded with men and women in formal dress when the agents entered at 1:30 o'clock this morning. When the agents revealed their identity there was a hurried attempt to dispose of . pocket flasks and many flasks Were gathered by the raiders. In a rear room the agents said they found a bar equipped with the most expensive fixtures, but they were unable to find any large quantities of liquor. : Texas Bandits Are Caught At Graham GRAHAM, Tex., Dec. 30 P)Two of the four bandits who robbed the First National bank of Cisco a week ago today killing G. S. Bedford, chief of police, .and wounding eight others in a gun battle, were arrested today When they appeared here seeking a rooming house. Neither resisted arrest. The arrests ended one of the greatest manhunts in the history of this section, in which posses of more than 150 men under Ranger Captain Tom Hickman directed by airplanes, participated. The two fugitives were famished and ill from (exposure, police said. They rapidly surrendered because of their weakened condition. The arrest came when two strangers approached a young man on the street and asked to be directed to a rooming house. The youth recognized one of the pair as Henry Helms, cx-convict, and who was known to have been a member of the bandit gang. He immediately gave the alarm. EDGE PKf'L.A RES YH HOOVER WASHINGTON, D.
