Alameda County Polities.

Oakland, : July . 22d. — The Republican County Convention , for Alameda last night made the following nominations : Senators, Dr. E. H. Pardee>and Stephen G. Nye ; Assemblymen — Charles N. Fox, W. W. Cameron and G. W. Tyler; Superior Judges, A. M. Crane and Win. E. Greene ; Sheriff, Jeremiah Tyrrel ; County : Treasurer, Charles G. Palmer ; County Clerk, '-■■ Andrew Ryder : Recorder, P. R. Borein ; District Attorney, E. M. Gibson ; Superintendent of Schools, .1. C. Gilson ; County Surveyor, G. L. Nilsbaumcr; Coroner, W. T. -Hamilton ; Public Administrator, S. T. Marston ; County Assessor, W. F. Boardman. •"" ; The Workingmen's, the Democratic and the H. B. Conventions have agreed upon a programme. The Workingmen at 2 o'clock began making nominations. . The names of H. V. Parker, O. H. Burnham, Dr. A. P. Truesdale and others were placed before the Convention for the nomination of Senator. The Workingmen are to nominate one candidate for Senator, one for the Assembly, the Sheriff, Treasurer, District Attorney, Superintendent of Schools, County Assessor, Public Administrator, and all the township Justices and Constables. ■ The Democrats are to nominate one candidate for Senator, the County Clerk, County Recorder and Coroner. The 1. E's arc to nominate two , candidates for the Assembly, two for Judges of the Superior Courts,' the County Surveyor and all the candidates for Supervisors. The men nominated by one Convention are to be presented to the two other Conventions and indorsed . without debate. Oakland, July 23d— a/ m.— For District Attorney, Peter Byrne, •A. K. CaeteUo, W. G. French * and W. M. ;. McFaddeu were named. First ballot — Byrne 21, Castello 8, French 7, McFadden 25. Byrne was withdrawn, Castello and French dropped, and McFadden was nominated by acclamation. A . question - touching the eligibility of Tucker, nominated for the Assembly, was raised by T. Flansburg, on the ground that he has not been a citizen or a resident of the district a sufficient length of time under the provisions of the Constitution. The matter was discussed at length, and after Judge Redman had offered to furnish an opinion in the matter, Major Andreas was appointed a' committee to wait upon Judge Redman, receive the opinion and report to the Convention to-morrow morning. B For Superintendent of .Public Schools, J. F. Jordan and J. G. Chestnut were named, Jordan being nominated by 44 votes. For County Assessor,' Charles Mason, C. C. Chase and J.
