The Arizona Trouble — The Earps and Their Opponents. Tombstone. March 23d.— The Coroner's jury find that Morgan S. Earp came to his death at the hands of Frank Stillwell, who was killed next day at Tucson. Pete Spence, one Freis and two half-breed Indians. Pete Spence's wife exposed the plot. A Sheriff's posse, consisting of twenty men, mostly cowboys, left this morning for Dragoon mountains, where the Earps are supposed to be at present. The Sheriff made a weak attempt to arrest them at the Cosmopolitan Hotel before they left, but Wyatt Earp told him he didn't want to see him : that he had seen him once too often, and thereupon the Earp party mounted their horses and rode away. There is a very uneasy feeling among the cowboy element, as the Earps are rendered desperate by the attempted assassination of Virgil Earp and the cold-blooded murder of Morgan Earp.
