CHURCH SINGER FOR HALF-HOUR CONCERT

Dramatic Soprano to Be Heard in Repertoire of Wagnerian Opera Selections

BERKELEY* Feb. 24. — Mmc, Rafaela Almeda. dramatic soprano, who has a repertoire of Wagnerian operas and selections in the French, German and Italian, will render the half hour of music in the Greek theater at 4 o'clock if the weather permits. Mme. Almeda is a Californian who has studied for several years abroad, but who recently returned to Berkeley for church solo work. .After the recital Sunday * she. will leave for New York to engage in grand opera. - The program for the concert follows: ••Dich Theure Halls," from Wagner's "Tann-hsut-er": Schubert's "Die Ferelle." Schubert's "Der Erlkoeuis": "Elsa's Pream," from Wagner's "Lohengrin"; "Die WaFserrosc," by Yon Fielitz; "BrnnnliHdc's Awakening," from Wasuer's "Siegfried"; Grieg's "1m Kahmr," and "The Walkure's Cry," from Wagner's "Die Walknre."
